The Elk Grove Economic Development Corporation (EGEDC)
provides information and professional assistance to
businesses interested in expanding or establishing
operations in Elk Grove, California. We are all about
helping streamline site selection, expediting the permitting
processes and bringing together decision makers to making
growing or locating your business in Elk Grove a smooth and
quick process.
The EGEDC’s Mission and Purpose
The EGEDC’s mission is to secure a strong economic future for Elk Grove by
building a vibrant and diversified economy.
The EGEDC is a 501 c (6) non-profit corporation whose purpose is to improve and
develop business and economic conditions within the Elk Grove, California,
region, to promote and foster the creation of new businesses and jobs within the
Elk Grove region, to attract new businesses and business investment in the Elk
Grove region, to facilitate the expansion and retention of existing businesses
in the Elk Grove region, and to carry on other charitable and educational
activities associated with this goal.
2008 Goals
To establish the EGEDC as a professional economic development organization
within the Sacramento region capable of effectively:
- Marketing the attributes of Elk Grove as a
preferred business location.
- Retaining and helping expand existing businesses.
- Establishing value added partnerships with
the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, City of Elk
Grove, Sacramento Area Trade and Commerce
Organization (SACTO), and other state and county
agencies.
- Facilitating discussions and resolution of
issues related to the successful development of
Elk Grove.
- Champion economic development initiatives
that secure a strong economic future for Elk
grove.
Message from our Board Chair
The EGEDC Board of Directors is committed to making the EGEDC a top tier
economic development organization capable of meeting our goal of attracting high
quality and high value jobs into our fast growing community. Our overall
strategy is to maximize new opportunities for our vibrant and growing city for
continued economic success.
In creating the EGEDC, we all agreed that we needed to concentrate our energy,
policy and funding on growing existing businesses and diversifying our economy
by bringing in new businesses. We also committed ourselves to insuring that the
City of Elk Grove is “business friendly” in terms of making it cost and
time-efficient for organizations to locate in Elk Grove, and modifying our
policies in order to attract and encourage business growth.

Message from our Executive Director
The EGEDC is the first point of contact for business owners, site consultants
and any other business or individual looking to establish or grow a business in
Elk Grove, California. We provide everything from information to comprehensive
site selection assistance including help in working through the development
process.
We are closely aligned with the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce to provide a wide
range of business development and support services, and partner with the
Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization [SACTO] to offer the highest
level of professional assistance.
We are committed to bringing quality jobs and investment to Elk Grove, one of
the fastest growing communities in the United States.
